Proof that LDS Temple Endowment Ceremonies are Secret Combinations

Purpose and Intention: To teach you what God has personally taught me because I made every single oath in the LDS temples and believed with all my heart they were "true" and what God wanted me to do.

Boy was I deceived!

Satan got me, hook, line and sinker.

In this article, my intention is to show you undeniable "proof" that those oaths spoken and made in LDS temples are of the devil. They are NOT of or from God the Eternal Father.

Buckle up! Because this is going to be a fairly deep dive, and I suspect that many people will not want to go very far down to find the truth, because it will confront their deepest and most cherished beliefs. Beliefs they are not willing to surrender to Jesus.

I don't know if that's you or not.

But what I do know is that you landed here for a reason, so maybe, just maybe, God is wanting you to learn something from this article...

Before we begin--

Father God, I ask that each and every person who genuinely reads these words and seeks for understanding will be filled with Your Holy Spirit to discern and know Truth. The Truth of Your Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who was born in the flesh of the virgin Mary, who died on the cross and was raised again on the third day, and who was the last sacrifice and became our New and Everlasting Covenant to You, Father.

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I now bind every demon, especially the demon of religion, and seal their mouths with the blood of Jesus so they cannot whisper lies into the ears of those reading this article, but that their spirit can be freed to hear Your Truth--the words of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Thank you, Holy Father. Amen.

My Background and "Authority"

In a nutshell, I was born and raised in the Mormon Church, or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was faithful, obedient, and valiant--the whole 9 yards--my entire life. I never strayed. Never drank. Never smoked. Never did drugs. I was a virgin until I was married and sealed in the LDS Mt. Timpanogos Temple at the age of 42 [yes, that is extremely OLD for Mormons!]. But 16 years earlier, when I was 26 years old, I received my own endowment in the LDS Jordan River Temple because frankly, I was sick and tired of waiting for my "eternal companion," and since receiving your endowment is a separate ceremony than being married/sealed, I could do that.

So in 1996, I went through the temple for the first time and received my own endowment. Pretty much every week after that I attended the temple and did work for the dead. I even served in the Jordan River Temple as a temple worker. So I understand the LDS Temple pretty well--at least for the general public.

Since resigning from the LDS Church in January 2025 [you can read about that difficult decision here], I have been trying to figure out "where I went wrong" in believing what I believed, especially knowing what I know now. Let me just state emphatically state that mind control is real. It works. And it enslaves more people than we even know--probably even you. It did me.

Ever since resigning, the Spirit of the Lord has been pouring over me and teaching me so many things as I continue to ask questions like:

• What did I miss?

• How could I not see that?

• Why wasn't I ever shown or taught that?

• Was I really that blind??

Here's what I've learned re: the LDS temple endowment ceremony that has brought me comfort and peace:

If you received your endowment in an LDS temple AFTER April 1990, you were not given ALL of the “true” facts about the ceremony in which you were participating. You were deceived.

That included me since I went in 1996.

Let me prove it to you.

Please.

I am begging you to realize and understand what LDS temples truly are and what you are really participating in when you go there.

As we proceed, there should be no dispute that in LDS Temples members are making oaths and entering into covenants. I trust we can all agree to that.

The dispute comes in when we ask the question: to WHOM are members making those oaths and covenants with? Is it God or Satan?

Well, let’s see what Jesus says about making oaths and where He stands regarding them, especially if one believes He is on the other side of the oath and covenant.

What Does Jesus Say About Making Oaths?

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus specifically addresses oaths by stating:

“Again, you have heard that the ancients were told, ‘You shall not make false vows, but shall fulfill your vows to the Lord.’ But I say to you, take no oath at all, neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God, nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Nor shall you take an oath by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black. But make sure your statement is, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil origin.” [Matthew 5:33-37]

That’s pretty clear if you ask me.

Jesus has commanded us to TAKE NO OATH AT ALL because it is of “evil origin.”

That alone should be enough “proof” that oaths made in the LDS temples are NOT of him, and He does NOT want us making oaths. At all.

I have to believe Jesus' words still stand true today and would include the oaths made in the LDS temples, wouldn't you?

But if you want or need more “proof,” let’s turn to the Book of Mormon and see what it has to say about oaths because that book is the referred to as "the keystone" to that religion, and most members regard its teachings and truths higher than the Bible.

What Does the Book of Mormon Say About Making Oaths?

Let’s go to Ether 8 in the Book of Mormon, which probably has the best example and explanation of making oaths.

This chapter was compiled/edited by Moroni. Moroni is the man who finished compiling the golden plates from his father, Mormon (who the book of Mormon is named after), and he was the one who hid them in the hill Cumorah for Joseph Smith to find. He was the last Nephite prophet who watched the destruction of his people.

In this chapter, we actually learn what caused the destruction of the Nephite people, so pay attention and let's see if that same cause is on the earth today. [Surely Satan can think of new tricks, can't he??!]

I know it’s a long section to read, but it is SO THOROUGH and SO CLEAR that I have copied it here for you to read. You don't need to know any any back story.

I have highlighted in RED key phrases, and if you are familiar with how the LDS endowment ceremony is performed, you may see some likeness.

Here is Ether 8:

13 And it came to pass that Akish gathered in unto the house of Jared all his kinsfolk, and said unto them: Will ye swear unto me that ye will be faithful unto me in the thing which I shall desire of you?

14 And it came to pass that they all sware unto him, by the God of heaven, and also by the heavens, and also by the earth, and by their heads, [Note that these words are the EXACT words Jesus said NOT to do in Matt 5:34] that whoso should vary from the assistance which Akish desired should lose his head; and whoso should divulge whatsoever thing Akish made known unto them, the same should lose his life.

15 And it came to pass that thus they did agree with Akish. And Akish did administer unto them the oaths which were given by them of old who also sought power, which had been handed down even from Cain, who was a murderer from the beginning.

16 And they were kept up by the power of the devil to administer these oaths unto the people, to keep them in darkness, to help such as sought power to gain power, and to murder, and to plunder, and to lie, and to commit all manner of wickedness and whoredoms.

17 And it was the daughter of Jared who put it into his heart to search up these things of old; and Jared put it into the heart of Akish; wherefore, Akish administered it unto his kindred and friends, leading them away by fair promises to do whatsoever thing he desired.

18 And it came to pass that they formed a secret combination, even as they of old; which combination is most abominable and wicked above all, in the sight of God;

19 For the Lord worketh not in secret combinations, neither doth he will that man should shed blood, but in all things hath forbidden it, from the beginning of man.

20 And now I, Moroni, do not write the manner of their oaths and combinations, for it hath been made known unto me that they are had among all people, and they are had among the Lamanites.

21 And they have caused the destruction of this people of whom I am now speaking, and also the destruction of the people of Nephi.

22 And whatsoever nation shall uphold such secret combinations, to get power and gain, until they shall spread over the nation, behold, they shall be destroyed; for the Lord will not suffer that the blood of his saints, which shall be shed by them, shall always cry unto him from the ground for vengeance upon them and yet he avenge them not.

23 Wherefore, O ye Gentiles, it is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto you, that thereby ye may repent of your sins, and suffer not that these murderous combinations shall get above you, which are built up to get power and gain—and the work, yea, even the work of destruction come upon you, yea, even the sword of the justice of the Eternal God shall fall upon you, to your overthrow and destruction if ye shall suffer these things to be.

24 Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you; or wo be unto it, because of the blood of them who have been slain; for they cry from the dust for vengeance upon it, and also upon those who built it up.

25 For it cometh to pass that whoso buildeth it up seeketh to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries; and it bringeth to pass the destruction of all people, for it is built up by the devil, who is the father of all lies; even that same liar who beguiled our first parents, yea, even that same liar who hath caused man to commit murder from the beginning; who hath hardened the hearts of men that they have murdered the prophets, and stoned them, and cast them out from the beginning.

26 Wherefore, I, Moroni, am commanded to write these things that evil may be done away, and that the time may come that Satan may have no power upon the hearts of the children of men, but that they may be persuaded to do good continually, that they may come unto the fountain of all righteousness and be saved.

Summary / Main Points of Ether 8

From those verses, let me just summarize and emphasize a few points:

1.     What kind of person is the devil? Verse 25. The devil is a liar. In fact, he is the father of all lies. Jesus tells us,

“He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.” [John 8:44]

Whoa. According to Jesus, Satan is a murderer and a liar—there is NO truth in him. That means he will look you squarely in the eyes and lie to your face. He doesn’t care. In fact, he enjoys it! It gives him great pleasure to lie and deceive you and lead you away from God. He lied to Eve. He lies ALL THE TIME. That is who he is—a liar and a murderer.

So can you trust anything the devil says? NO.

Do you think he wants you to know the truth of what you’re doing in those LDS endowment ceremonies? NO.

Do you think his motive is anything other than wanting to murder you? NO!

2.    Who administers oaths today? Verses 16-17. The power of the devil administers oaths to people. Satan is the author of administering oaths, not God. And why does he do it? “To keep the people in darkness.” Satan does not want you to turn to the light of Jesus Christ.

Note that Akish first started administering the oaths with his “kindred and friends.”

Who did Joseph Smith first administer the temple oaths to?

In 1942, Joseph Smith gave the first temple endowment to a small group of nine of his trusted associates (friends) in Nauvoo, Illinois, who were incidentally all Masons. [https://scripturecentral.org/shows/church-history-matters/episodes/the-origins-of-the-temple-endowment]

3.    How does God view secret oaths? Verses 18-19. Making oaths and swearing by the God of heaven, by the heavens, by earth, or by your own head is, watch the wording here, “most abominable and wicked above all, in the sight of God.”

And He has “forbidden it from the beginning of man.”

Again, that seems pretty clear to me where God stands on oaths being made and swearing under the penalty of losing your life. It seems to trump all other abominations like idolatry, adultery, and fornication...or am I just reading too much into the words "above ALL."

4.    What are we to do about oaths made in secret? Verses 23-24. If you are aware of these secret combinations then you are COMMANDED to:

• awake to the sense of your awful situation and

• repent

or else 

• the work of destruction will come upon you

• the sword of the justice of the Eternal God shall fall upon you

• you will suffer being overthrown

Did you catch that?

If you are aware of those secret combinations, you are COMMANDED to awake and repent.

And I am going to be so bold as to say, after you have awakened and repented, then you are to warn your neighbor!

And THAT IS THE REASON, I am speaking so openly, bluntly, and loudly against the LDS Church. It is making people enter into a secret combination that God ABHORS under the disguise and LIES that Jesus Christ commissioned temples through Joseph Smith when He did not do that.

By now, you may be justifying to yourself that the LDS temple is NOT a secret combination and it does NOT make blood oaths.

By now, you may be calling me all sorts of names and adjectives and think I'm way off base--that the devil has led me astray and my whole purpose is to destroy people's faith and I'm not being very "Christ-like." That's fine.

This next part is for those who truly, honestly and sincerely want to know the truth about the LDS Church. Not the members. The Church.

LDS Temple Endowment Wording was Changed in April 1990

Now let’s turn to the LDS Temple Endowment Ceremony and see if any of the criteria from Ether 8 re: oaths and secret combinations are found within it. 

In order to fully expose the TRUE NATURE of the LDS endowment, we need to go back to the verbiage used before April 1990.  To truly understand anything, it’s vital to get to its ROOTS and see its origin.

As I stated in the beginning, if you were like me and went to the LDS temple for your first time AFTER April 1990, you did not hear some pretty important “key” words to tell you exactly what you were entering into.  I received my endowment in 1996, so it’d been several years after the changes—and of course, no one could tell me about the changes because they had made an oath “never to divulge them, even at the peril of their life.”

Why were words removed and changed in April 1990? 

Well, to be blunt, it’s because too many people who were being ritually abused in the church were being “triggered” with the temple ceremony—the altar, the white ceremonial clothing, the enactment of the penalties like slitting one’s throat or slicing the bowels. It was bringing too many suppressed memories back and their programming was breaking, so the church had to change the ceremony to keep more people in the dark about what was happening in secret.

This deceitful change was also right before the Glenn Pace Letter was officially written on July 19, 1990 and given to the church, where he had been researching ritual abuse in the LDS church during the 1980’s.  If you’re not familiar with this memo, please research it! And then realize that nothing in the LDS Church has changed since that memo. The LDS Church continues to protect the abuser and even sues the victims.

The LDS Church knew full well what was happening in secret and needed to do “damage control” so it removed primarily 2 things from the endowment:

1.     The word “secret” or “secrecy.”

2.    The penalties, which were graphic descriptions of the particular ways one's life would be taken (blood shed) in punishment for violating the covenants of secrecy. (The same is true of Masonic ritual.)

NOTE: The penalties are still indicated by the signs that are made.

It should be pretty obvious why the LDS Church decided to remove those 2 items, and by doing so, it is not so obvious that you are entering into a secret combination, with its secret signs, tokens and names, and making a blood oath covenant to Satan by agreeing to give your life before ever divulging the oaths you made to him.

PRE-1990 Verbiage for The First Token of the Aaronic Priesthood

Let me prove to you with just the first token of the Aaronic Priesthood, in its pre-1990 wording, that you are entering into a secret society (combination) and making an oath to shed your blood if you tell anyone about the secrecy. 

I am taking this wording from a website, with its own caveat of:

“This website presents the temple ceremony with a degree of transparency that many Latter-day Saints will find uncomfortable. However, the site does not reveal any information that is protected by covenants of non-disclosure.”

I have highlighted the words in RED that indicate the secrecy and the penalties of death (blood shed) that were removed in April 1990.

ELOHIM: We will now give unto you the first token of the Aaronic priesthood with its accompanying name, sign, and penalty.

Before doing this, however, we desire to impress upon your minds the sacred character of the first token of the Aaronic priesthood, with its accompanying name, sign, and penalty, as well as that of all the other tokens of the holy priesthood, with their names, signs, and penalties, which you will receive in the temple this day. They are most sacred and are guarded by solemn covenants and obligations of secrecy to the effect that under no condition, even at the peril of your life, will you ever divulge them, except at a certain place that will be shown you hereafter.

The representation of the execution of the penalties indicates different ways in which life may be taken. [see section below, “The Penalties that were Removed”]

[Elohim demonstrates the first token of the Aaronic priesthood.]

We give unto you the first token of the Aaronic priesthood. We desire all to receive it. All arise.

[All initiates receive the token.]

The name of this token is the new name that you received in the temple today.

[Elohim demonstrates the sign and penalty for this token.]

I will now explain the covenant and obligation of secrecy which are associated with this token, its name, sign, and penalty, which you will be required to take upon yourselves.

If I were receiving my own endowment today and had been given the name of _________ as my new name, I would repeat in my mind these words after making the sign, at the same time representing the execution of the penalty:

I, _________, covenant that I will never reveal the first token of the Aaronic priesthood, with its accompanying name, sign, and penalty. Rather than do so, I would suffer my life to be taken.

[Elohim leads the initiates in repeating this oath.]

That will do.

NOTE: In 1990, The following words in RED were INSERTED into the ceremony for the last declaration:

I, _________, covenant before God, angels, and these witnesses, that I will never reveal the first token of the Aaronic priesthood, with its accompanying name and sign.

• How do you think that makes God feel when you are openly and blatantly covenanting before Him in secrecy to do something He expressly forbids you to do? Something that is “most abominable and wicked above all in the sight of God”??

I can see and hear Satan laughing hysterically as God is openly mocked during this ceremony, and most people have NO IDEA what they are doing. Talk about the devil cheating souls and leading them away carefully down to hell!

The Penalties that were Removed

The penalty signs in the LDS temple endowment were symbolic gestures representing graphic consequences for breaking the oath of secrecy. The oaths promise not to reveal each token’s name, sign, or penalty.

The 3 penalties were (and still spiritually are):

1.     Slitting the throat – “right hand palm-down with the thumb extended”

2.    Heart torn out – “hand in a cup form”

3.    Disembowelment - “right hand palm-down with the thumb extended”

Does the Doctrine of Jesus Support the LDS Endowment Ceremony?

No. It does not.

Jesus said, “Take no oath at all.” [Matthew 5:34]

That should be enough for us to settle the matter once and for all.

But it doesn’t for many people, especially those who have been "programmed" through the LDS Church that temple covenants save you.

So what else did Jesus do?

He dedicated almost an entire chapter for members of the LDS Church to read about it in their own book!!

If you are a “card-carrying temple recommend holder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints,” I can pretty confidently assert that you believe the Book of Mormon is true. In fact, you probably believe it’s truer than the Bible due to Article of Faith No. 8.

If you believe the Book of Mormon to be true, another testament of Jesus Christ, then you have to believe Ether 8, where blood oaths and covenants are made in secrecy, called “secret combinations,” and the Lord forbids them—He’s forbidden them from the beginning. He abhors them. They are “most abominable and wicked above all.”

So now you have a choice to make:

You can either choose to believe what's written in the Book of Mormon, which aligns with what Jesus said in the New Testament, that oaths are FORBIDDEN.

OR

You can believe the doctrine that started with a man named Joseph Smith and has been perpetuated through more men who call themselves "prophets" that those oaths are what saves you and gets you to the highest degree in the Celestial Kingdom.

You get to decide.

I have proven, through the ROOT words of the LDS Temple ceremony pre-1990, that you are making oaths in secret. That these oaths have penalties attached that require blood to be shed if you divulge the secrecy. Therefore, you are making secret blood oath covenants with Satan in LDS Temples.

And since the devil is the father of lies, he will lie to you. He will tell you, “They are sacred not secret.” And a whole bunch of other lies to keep you in the dark!

Three Witnesses that LDS Temples are of the Devil

I have given you three witnesses that the LDS temple endowment is Satanic.

The first witness is Jesus Christ. “Take no oath at all.”

The second witness is Moroni from the Book of Mormon in Ether chapter 8.

The third witness is me via this blog post.

I entered into those secret blood oath covenants when I was 26. I thought and believed with all my heart, mind, and soul that they were from God, and I was thrilled the day I could enter the temple and make those “sacred” covenants with God.

It’s hard to admit that Satan got me. He lied to me. He deceived me. All because of the teachings, emphasis, and goal of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to get every member to the temple and enter into the secret combination of Satan.

Gratefully, I found Jesus after firing all the other voices in my life from prophets to podcasters, and He told me to resign if I was going to follow Him and do what He asked me to do. So I did.

I have also gone through deliverance to legally break the oaths I made in the temple to Satan because an oath is a spiritual contract, and I did not want the devil to have legal rights over me anymore to kill, steal, and destroy.

In closing, I add my witness (and echo Moroni) when I declare:

I am commanded by God to tell you these things. To make it plain for you to understand that LDS temples are secret combinations wrought by the devil, the father of lies. And when you make those oaths, you are entering into a spiritual contract with Satan that he can steal, kill, and destroy you AND your generations.

Only Jesus can break those legally-binding spiritual contracts you made with Satan. But you have to be ready to renounce everything. You have to be ready to give it all to Jesus. Yes, even your membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. But I promise you, IT IS WORTH IT!!!

I write these things so that those who are earnestly seeking Jesus may be persuaded to WAKE UP to a sense of their awful situation and repent and renounce the evil oaths they were deceived into making so that the destruction of the Eternal God does not fall upon them.

Jesus has spoken and said, “Take no oath at all.”

He further stated, “If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.” [John 15:22]

Please, please, WAKE UP to what you are really doing in LDS temples. There is no excuse for that sin after what Jesus has spoken. Not even excuse of being deceived and lied to.
