Are You Feasting on ALL of Jesus' Teachings? Or just the ones you like?

The more I feast upon the words of Jesus only—as contained in the 4 gospels—the more I realize how SEVERELY malnourished we are in knowing and understanding ALL that Jesus taught.

Most of us have picked out our “favorite” (and only) meal—which is typically “love and peace”—and that’s what we serve to everyone else telling them that that’s what Jesus said and did.

Well…that kind of response tells me that we actually have no idea WHAT Jesus taught, let alone HOW He taught.

Because when you really delve into His interactions with people, crowds and religious leaders, He DIVIDED them.

It was NOT a message of “love and peace” and bringing everyone together to soothe them and coddle them and tell them what they wanted to hear.

It was actually just the opposite.

Jesus was blunt, direct, and “slammed” people with His responses—even to His own mother at the age of 12!

Many times, I have “drop the mic” written in my Bible after what Jesus replied!

Jesus was NOT saying “love and peace” all over the place and letting people stay comfortable.

He was telling them to REPENT--FORGIVE--CHANGE YOUR WAYS.

So when people say that the message of Jesus was just "love and peace," that lets me know that those people really don't KNOW Jesus and what He taught.

And to be blunt, it’s mostly the “religious” and “churchy” people, who serve “love and peace” as the main dish from Jesus (probably because that's either the dish their church leader feeds them every Sunday, and let's be honest, for most of us, it's our "favorite" dish.)

So my question to YOU is this:

When was the last time you dined ALONE and feasted on ALL of the words of Jesus as written in the 4 gospels?

Not the words of Paul.

Not the words of your prophet, pastor, priest or church leaders.

Not the words of podcasters or authors or memes.

Just the words of Jesus in the 4 gospels...

May I issue you a challenge?

1 – sit at your table alone each morning

2 - pull up your “menu” of the 4 Gospels

3 – start FEASTING upon its pages—even eating those dishes that you don’t want to taste

4 – start enjoying the FULL FLAVORS of Jesus Christ—from the savory, to the sweet, to the SPICY HOT

because you might actually find that you LOVE the entire meal...

and might actually find that you're NOT doing the works of HIS kingdom...

It's All and Only Jesus ❤️‍🔥
